Proper Length Of Drapes

There are only two proper lengths for drapes, skim and puddle. This means that the drapes either need to skim the floor, or have extra fabric that puddles on the floor. I know this can be difficult when buying pre-made curtains which come in standard lengths, but there is a simple solution to adding a few extra inches.

These drapes are entirely too short. They are 84", and need to be 90" in length.

The easy solution to this problem is to hang the curtain with rings instead of directly on the rod. As seen below, we had the same problem, and the rings added just enough length for the drapes to skim the floor.

This is an example of drapes that puddle on the floor.
